  Several elegant touches by Nimzovich here:

  — trapping the knight;
  — keeping White from liquidating the the f-pawn;
  — coordinating king and bishop to impede White’s king and g-pawn;
  — offering the bishop at a moment when it no longer does White any good to win it.

  I enjoyed studying this. Good choice, Andreas.

  I guess the following should win for black:

  1.Ba7! together with marching with the king towards the knight should win the knight and the game.

  1.Ba7!

  ITYM 1.Ba2!, which is in fact how Nimzovich set out to win the knight. That’s only the first step, though — even after that, there are still quite a few twists and traps yet to come on the K-side.

  I was thinking if there’s another way of winning this…
  1… Kc6
  2. Na4+ Kb5
  3. Nc4 Kc4 and I can’t see how white can prevent black from moving the king to e2 and playing e4-e3 which should give a winning position.

  then white simply goes back:
  3.Nb7
  [Not 3.Nc4? Kc4]
