The World Chess Blitz Championship shall be organized in Almaty, Republic of Kazakhstan. The dates of the event – 7th and 8th of November 2008. 7th of November – opening of the tournament. The final of the World Chess Blitz Championship shall take place on 8th of November in the Opera and Ballet Theater named after Abai. The prize-winning fund – 350 000 Swiss francs will be given by Federation of Chess of Republic of Kazakhstan under the grant of Noncommercial Charitable Seimar Social Fund at support of JSC “Alliance Bank”.
