Nakamura of course.
I am fed up of Nakamura, on London classic he only was able to draw.
Carlsen is the player of the year.
Wow close race for best.
Come on now. Nakamura game won Brilliance Prize. I like Naka. He is a super good player. He is not #1 in the world but he could be. It would be nice to see more Americans support our own players. I always cheer for Nakamura even when he played Carlsen.
I too voted for Magnus for Player of the Year.
Best and most constant results in 2009 were achieved by Kramnik, not Carlsen.
Kasparov or Carlsen.
And _never_ _ever_
Chickenkramnik.
Please check your shortlist!
The chicken Kramnik has had an excellent year after losing to Anand. He had the best result in the match with Azerbaijan, won the Zurich rapid tournament, won Dortmund, Won Tal Memorial. I wish I were a chicken too.
Robin Williams!
Undoubtably from now on Carlsen will develop himself to the Force.
A couple of years ago Susan wrote about Carlsen “he is the real thing”. Or something along that line.
It sure seems that way, isn’t it.
He appears to be the most “Bobby Fischer-ish”, so to speak. And he still have 10 years to get there (Bobby was what…..29 years old when became the WC?). Anand, Kramnik, sort of “slowly melting away”. The rest of the field appears kind of equal, they can beat each other at a given day. I am no expert on the issue, but based on no more than a “hunch” Carlsen is the one, who could just break away from the rest of the top field.
