How about 1. Nxh7 Qxh7 2. Rf8+ Rxf8 3. Rxf8+ Kxf8 4. Qxh7. Does that give up too much material for the queen?
Never mind my first original post because the Black King can’t take back on f8 (3….Kxf8 is illegal). So instead, 1. Nxh7 Qxh7 2. Rf8+ Rxf8 3. Qxf8#.

If 1. Nxh7 Qg7 2. Nf6+ Qxf6 3. Rxf6 +/-.
If 1. Nxh7 Qg7 2. Nf6+ Kf8 3. Nh7+ winning the queen)
If 1. Nxh7 Re1 2. Nf6+ Kf7 (…Qxf6 Rxf6 +/-) 3. Nd5+ wins the queen . There maybe even better lines here though because mate can’t be very far.
Then again, Yves’ solution looks good to me!! Nice job.
rf8# Rtakes Rook…followed by r#f8 Q#f8 and then Qtakes h7 mate. Or is there something simpler??

Susan, word verification will eliminate offshore hedge spamming. It’s just a setting you can turn on for your blog.
Thanks 🙂 I was trying to make it easy for all of you to post. But you are right. The spammers are a pain 🙂
Best wishes,
