We have 2 feet in Long Island.
Count your blessings. The last 4-5 days in Northern California, I’ve had to suffer through sunshine, blue skys and high 70’s to low 80’s. It horrible, just horrible.
70’s and sunny in Texas.
Susan I think you should open a chessclub in Chicago, theres only a tiny bit of snow here lol. When you get snowed in in New York you could take refuge in the windy city. Oh I wish ; )
TFK
I usually get more snow than NY City but not this time. although I have almost 18 inches here outside Boston. it was a nice snow storm because I got to watch Shabalov from Aeroflot and later Nakamura win in Mexico. then I shot out and got the snowblower running and it just finished as it ran out of gas. haha. close call. it was almost dark also. so back inside to the warmth of a good internet connection to chess.
Chesstraveler sure has it hard these days. Well good news. March 3 – 5 is the annual Eastern Class Championship Chess Tournament held by Billy Goichberg. of continental chess. you can come out here and frolic in the snow while you play chess.
and just to be nice I will pick up ChessTraveler at Logan Airport in Boston and give him a free ride to the Chess tournament at Sturbridge Village. Come On Out ChessTraveler. you are more than welcome.
tommy
Hey Tommy, Thanks for the invite and I wish I could. I’ve played chess at many different locations around the U.S., but never Boston or New York City. Hopefully someday.
