White king is in a mating net, so white should be checking so:
1. Rh8 Bh8
2. Qh8 K wherever
3. Qf6 and mate in the next move.
HT
This one is pretty easy.
I think he needs to keep black’s king from escaping to the queenside, so Nf6 appears to be not an option Kd8, and the king skeddadles since the d7 bishop is guarded by the knight. Also, Qf6 appears to lose to
1. Qf6 Ne4
2. Kh4 Rh1# (other moves lose, too).
So, eliminating those alternatives leaves,
1. Rh8 Bh8 (only move)
2. Qh8 Ke7
3. Qf6 Ke8
4. Ng7# and if
2. …..Kf7
3. Qf6 Kg8
4. Qg7#
rh8+
zz
1.Rh8+…Bh8
2.Qh8+…Ke7
3.Qf6+…Ke8
4.Ng7 Mate
1.Rh8!,Bxh8 (1.-,Ke7/f7 2.Qxf6 mate)
2.Qxh8,Kf7 3.Qf6+,Ke8 (3.-,Kg8 4.Qg7 mate) 4.Ng7 mate
Rh8+ is the move and the queen and the knight will wrap it up
This is so easy. 1.Nxf6+ and black is dead.
1.Rh8+! (not 1.Nxf6+? Kd8 and Black escapes) Bxh8 (1…K moves 2.Qh7+ Bg7 3.Qxg7#) 2.Qxh8+ K moves 3.Qf6+ followed by mate on g7.
1. Rh8 Ke7
2. Qf6 mate
1. … Bh8
2. Qh8 Ke7
3. Qf6 Ke8
4. Ng7 mate
1.Qf6+ followed by Qe7# Black has no defense against mate.
I’m pretty sure it’s Bxc5. Easy one! (lol)
1. Rh8+ Bxh8
2. Qxh8+ Ke7
3. f6+ Kf7
4. Qg7+ K38
5. Qe7#
1. Rh8+ Bxh8
2. Qxh8 Ke7 (2. … Kf7 3. Qf6+ Ke8 [3. … Kg8 4. Qg7#] 4. Ng7#)
3. Qf6+ Ke8
4. Ng7#
Other posts:
1. Nxf6+ allows the king to escape via d8 and Black maintains material edge.
1. Qf6+ [sic] is not really check and allows mate after 1. … Nxe4+
1. Bxc5 allows 1. … Qd3+ (2. Be3 Rg1+; 3. Kh2 Ra2 etc.)
Well, I guess it is not “so easy” after all. Black is way ahead in material and even threatens to promote one of its pawns soon. Plus, black would at least have a perpetual after 1…Qxf2+.
Thus, white has to hurry in order not to lose this one and the best move to do so is 1.Rh8+! as it prevents the black king to escape white the eight rank.
After 1…Bxh8 2.Qxh8+ black will inevitably get mated within the next two moves. Not a difficult puzzle but still easy to err due to the tempting Nxf6+.

Rh8 Bh8
Qh8 Kany
Qf6 mate in 1
RH8 does not allow the king to run away from the sweet spot. Queen, knight, and pawn take care of his majesty.
Susan cant handle theses puzzles! Black gets crushed anyways usin theses old forms! Susan did u know i was the first guy to put my name in all caps on the ICC! ULTRAMODERNIST! HUH? and do u know why ? because the traditionalist is theorizing and im one of the KNOWERS!! HEHE. O.K. O.K. let me stop getting silly! hahaha.
My version 😀
1. Rh8+ Bxh8 2. Qxh8+ Ke7 3. Qf6+ Ke8 4. Ng7 mate should be the answer
Yeah, 1. Rh8+ seems to be the only way to prevent the Black king from scurrying to the queenside and avoiding White’s checks in some fashion.
I would suggest:
1. Rh8 Bh8 forced
2. Qh8 Ke7 forced
3. Qf6 and the Knight mates next move
