Webster University to offer a minor in CHESS!

SPICE is proud to announce that we are in the process of developing a series of chess related academic courses, which within the foreseeable future would lead to an interdisciplinary minor in “Applied Chess” at Webster University. Our first course “SPICEing-up Business Strategy with Chess” in collaboration with the Business School was already successfully offered several times in the past.

Our second course, in collaboration with the College of Education will be “Topics in Education: Chess and Critical Thinking” in the Fall 2017 semester. Students will need to look for it under the “EDUC” code to register. This class will be a regular 3 credit Fall semester elective class.

Additional labs “Topics in Education: Chess Lab” will be offered both in Fall Term 1 and 2 for three levels of chess players, from beginner to advanced.

These chess themed courses are aimed for Webster University students who are looking to learn about chess and how chess lessons can be applied in other areas of life.
