What can I say? Just bloody amazing! Kramnik’s celebration was lot measured than what it appeared after reading in the press.
Well done again to big Vlad and commiserations to Topa.
Thanks a ton Susan. You are the best!
Thank you, Susan, for your outstanding coverage of this championship. You have given a tremendous service to everyone who loves this beautiful game!
Dear Susan,
I hope you site will “defeat” Chessdebase in the news “championship” I plan on folowing them here and will not ever access their libelous site.
Great work!!!
Congratulations Susan!! Your blog has been the best place to follow the WCC en Elista.
If you don’t mind a joke…

I wonder how much time was left on the each player’s clock at the moment Topalov blundered with 44… rc2:5??
Susan seemed to feel Kramnik might be able to force an endgame win anyway. So the idea that Topalov lost only due to yet another blunder is undemonstrated.
BTWay, a blunder is not bad luck, because blunders are under the player’s control.
Maybe they did not mean to, but Topalov supporters seemed to value an “attacking” (meaning “pawn advancing”?) style above all other aspects of chess skill combined.
When they say Kramnik has a “boring” style, they really mean “Vlad should create some weaknesses in his position”.
Also, conspicuous by its absence is their lack of mentioning Kramnik’s widely acknowledged superior endgame skills.

Ms. Polgar:
Fantastic job with your blog! You bring a unique identity to chess reporting which is unique among your journalism colleagues.
Keep up the good work!
Also, congrats to Vladimir Kramnik! He is a true champion!
Sincerely,

Long Live the World Champion Kramnik! He has proven beyond doubt to be the true and only World Champion from Steinitz to Fischer, Karpov, Kasparov and now Kramnik! Enough with these phony non champions of FIDE. Let us bring class back to chess and have a World Championship Match every two years. I hope next year Mexico is a tournament to decide next challenger to Kramnik and let Topalov play in it. Kramnik should not take part and wait for next challenger. Also, is Fischer and Karpov really going to play?
Found this funny clip from a blitz game between Sofia Polgar and Korchnoi.
“This is the very first and the very last time you have won a game against me”. lol

That is awesome LOL. Can someone tell us what did Susan said? I understand something like “I was afraid to lose…” “But I won anyway” “Really?” Then I dont get it.
