when 2 gentlemen play…what happens?I am an Indian and an Anand fan..but i respect Gelfand. As a spectator u respect when Gelfand wins…cos he won’t talk crap like Kasparov…i think Kasparov is brilliant with chess but not a great human being. He should learn when to talk and when not to. Same with Fisher…nature gave the speech for a purpose…not just to say what you feel.
what kasparov said was not wrong at all. even i’m an indian and its actually true that anand’s performance in tournaments has declined over the last four years. the same goes for fischer. they speak the truth though in a harsh way.
Hey Mr Harsha, You are absolutely correct about Kasparov. As for Bobby Fischer, during the years he played chess ( up until the Spassky match ),he was not out to offend or ‘cheat’ his fellow GM’s. His battle was with the organisers etc. Fischer was a fair and square chess player, and most probably the biggest genius of them all. He would not bang doors to distract his opponents, or take back moves,if he thought no one would notice!. Gelfand is of course a much underrated talent and a gentleman to boot.
