Vaibhav Suri impressive in Luc Open

The 3rd Luc Open was held from 23rd to 29th April at the salle Debeyre in Lille, France. 187 players from 17 countries participated in the 9-round Swiss event.

The 15-years old IM Vaibhav Suri from India took a clear first place with 7.5 points and a prize of 1500 EUR. Vaibhav defeated high rated Grandmasters Maxim Turov, Oleg Korneev, Sebastien Maze and Marius Manolache to earn a GM norm and 30 elo points.
