h7 Rg7
Rxg2 Rxg2
Be4
now the rook cant move back to g8 without getting swiped off the board oy the little but powerful pawn..
1. h7, to prepare a bishop fork on e4 after Rxg2, preventing one of the rooks posting on g8.
1.Rxg2 Rxg2 2.Be4 wins by forking the rooks. Too easy.
Rg2 Rg2
Be4
is a fork, true, but it can be answered with
… Rg8
if
Ba8 Ra8
and material is even again (as far as heavy pieces go)
h7 first
1.h7 Rg7 2.Rg2 Rg2 3.Be4 wins, cause black can’t play Rg8 anymore
1.Rxg2 Rxg2 2.Be4 is simply met by Rgg8.
Better is 1.h7! which makes the idea work by taking away g8.
bad answer
h7
1. Rxg2 Rxg2 2. Be4 Rg2-g8. The right move is 1. h7 Rg8-moves 2. Rxg2 Rxg2 3. Be4…
“1.Rxg2 Rxg2 2.Be4 wins by forking the rooks. Too easy.”
Not quite. Because after Be4 black simply plays Ra-g8 and the material is equal with Bxg2, Rxg2
Too wrong 🙂
On your 2.Be4 one rook defends the other with Ra-(or g-)g8.
I would start with 1.h7 (to control the g8 square) and then follow with 2.Rxg2 and 3.Bxe4
It only seems too easy, anonymous commenter at 6:10 PM CDT.
Black answers
2. Be4 with Rg8 holding the balance
Anon 6:10pm — after 2. Be4, R2g8 saves the game.
1. h7 Rg7
2. Rxg2 Rxg2
3. Be4
First, you must cut off the g8 return square.
1. h7! Rg7 (only move I find)
2. Rg2 Rg2
3. Be4 and the the double attack works since g8 isn’t available any longer.
h7 first and then Rxg2
1. h7, R g any
2. Rxg2,
Now if,
2. …, Rxg2
3. Be4
wins a Rook since g8 is covered by the h7 pawn.
Else it wins the Bishop.
Not quite so easy. You have to play h7 first, to deprive the rooks of the g8 square. Then take the bish and do the fork.
Better is
1. h7 Rg7
2. Rxg2 Rxg2
3. Be4,
so now Black can’t move either rook to g8.
1.h7 Rg7(e.g.) 2.Txg2 Txg2 3.Be4 +-
anon says its too easy. yea actually it was easy but not for you obviously lmao… what a complete imbicile..
