Chess Daily News from Susan Polgar
I expect some upsets in round 1 right away.
Go Ray!!!
I am rooting for Gata Kamsky all the way! There are so many strong great players this won’t be easy. Let’s hope for some great fighting chess. I look forward to the games and hope Susan can give us if now live commentary maybe postgame analysis and notes :o)
GM Hess and IM Robson are my favorites!
A nine-round Swiss with only 24 players is a pretty unusual format. The Swiss system is designed for a much larger number of players compared to the number of rounds.
