Chess Daily News from Susan Polgar
You never know with Topalov. One day he play like 2550 player and the other day he pulls something incredible and one starts wondering. He is so talanted but lack consistency. Ofcourse his style can account for his shaking results too. He is way too agressive. He is definately a player I would put some money on the table to watch him play.
If he can’t see his manager, how does he know what Rybka wants to play?
I don’t think Veselin quite gets how to wear a do rag.
They don’t waer a rag. They used a rag before the first round, but that was to give the audience and press an oppurtunity to take some juicy pics. They see an empty board, and moves are made by typing them on the keyboard.
The chinese rule the world. BTW, who cares about blindfold chess???
NY Times Headline:
After horrendous play Topalov faces Bulgarian firing squad! AP ; )
Yeah, could not see the Rybka screen!
I’m not surprised. He couldn’t get signs from Danailov 😉
No, I don’t believe Topalov cheated. But this line was to good to be left out.
Topalov has not had one single good result since his manager Danailov has not been allowed to signal moves to him. I have watched every time since then.
I do not believe he ever was a good chess player. Every time he fails to show good results it convinces me more that he cheated at San Luis as people claimed.
We all know Danailov sat at San Luis right in front of Topalov with a running computer analyzing his game. The only unknown is the question if he was sending signals to Topalov at San Luis from his computer.
I am more and more convinced that he did send signals. I believe that Danailov and Topalov were using signals for several years before he was forced to stop.
If I am wrong then let Topalov have one. Just one good result. His results have not only been below 2700 but at 2600. far below his over 2800 peak.
He absolutely does not deserve a shot at the world title in my opinion.
Topalov cheated in San Luis, deprived Anand of the title and shockingly will again get a shot for the title. It’s all so sad.
I would find the last two post hillarious if people who wrote them were joking. Sadly enough, they aren’t.
