ChessBase just published an article about Topalov. Here is a part of the interview:
What happened before the fifth game?
Topalov: We got the videos of what Kramnik was doing between every move. He was going to the bathroom many times and his behavior was very suspicious.
They accuse you of trying to disturb him because he was winning.
Topalov: We never wanted to stop the match. There were clear indications of cheating [“Había claros indicios de trampa”]. You look at that tape and it puts the fear into you. It’s not just how many times he went to the bathroom, but how he went. Many times he came out, came to the board and moved instantly.
He alleges health problems.
Topalov: That’s a lie (“Mentira”). I drank more than he did and didn’t go to the bathroom so often. We protested, but the committee, which had sided with us, was fired.
They say it’s inconceivable that the rival team had access to private video.
Topalov: They also saw my video. They followed my every step and everyone who was with me. And if he’s not doing anything wrong, what’s the problem?
The full article can be read here.
Come on, leave Topalov alone.
Topalov is a sore loser. He can not lose with dignity, so he keeps up these accusations of Kramnik having cheated. If only his chess game is as big as his ego, maybe he would have had a chance…
This whole issue of “cheating” shouldn’t really come as a surprise these days. Chessbase, CA, Arena and Scid are available to anyone who wants them. (Only Arena and SCID are free). Computers have altered the game and because of it…our consciousness toward the game has changed. Accusations like “oh, you’re using computer analysis” becomes common.
This whole issue can be addressed in only one way…allow computers during chess matches. Since it’s impossible to prevent cheating with tiny computers…the only way to “stop” accusations of cheating is to allow these computer assistants during matches. GM Gary Kasparov came up with a compromise…”Advanced Chess” he called it. Players can utilize a comptuer DATABASE…to check variations and then use the analysis over the board. The distinction however is clear here…only databases should be available to the players…NOT the actual engines themselves.
I would like however to hear GM Susan Polgar’s perspective on this issue. She might have some interesting things to say. In fact, now that she’s running for a position in the USCF…I believe its in our best interests to HEAR what she says on the whole issue of “cheating” in chess and how it can be dealt with.
The ball is now in your court GM Susan Polgar. We await your response on the issue of computer cheating.
This talk of cheating is never going to end. What can be done to stop these accusations? Even if both players are required to play each game without leaving the playing hall there can still be talk of installing a chip in someone’s head or something like that. What will the future bring? Is it just going to be a World Championship Cycle where the loser will claim that the winner has a chip in her/his head?
What organizers of events should do is to make it compulsory for participants to forbid anything other than a pen for the players (even a watch should be prohibited ) to wear on themselves when they arrive in the playing room , and they should prevent the players from leaving the room , if they want to leave the table , they have to sit in the same room not far in another free table to relax , and players must be forbidden from wearing a jacket or any clothes that could help conceal an object ,nor they should communicate with people directly or indirectly other than the referee.
And assistants should make sure the players don’t conceal any object by making a body check on all players at the entry of the playing room .
That would help dealing a little with the cheating , because even though i think Kramnik and Topalov never cheated , with the computer chips getting smaller and smaller , it’s now part of chess to create rules to prevent it as much as possible .
I think it’s time to invoke the FIDE ethics committee. Topalov is out of line with his accusations for which there is no proof. I used to have respect for him before this whole mess but at this point this issue is going on my nerves and I think it would be appropriate to start taking legal actions against this libel. Either provide evidence and sue , shut up, or be sued. In either case, stay out of the news and leave us alone. I really hope tournament organizers will boycott him for this behavior, it is clearly hurting the image of chess as a sport.
Toiletov…I mean Topalov is still crying. Should we call him Cryalov or Cryalot?.
I think he’s just a puppet of Cheatalov… I mean Dainalov. Should we call him Dianalov or Cheatalot?
Post your comments but, keep it clean please.
In the last issue of New In Chess Kramnik shows respect for Topalov. I think Topalov should be ashamed of himself the way he complains and the excuses he presents and show some respect for Kramnik and shut Dainalov’s mouth once and for all. Moreover, he should fire him and get another manager who doesn’t keep damaging his already blasted image.
People should play in the nude after a full cavity search and x-ray. They should be in a soundproof room with nobody present. Only hundreds of cameras filming every square inch of the room for subtle cheating. Aside from the wiring for the cameras, only two wires allowed: one for the board to transmit results, and the other for the single flourescent light.
The bathroom will be in that same room: it will be a hole in the floor. The hole will include cameras and be inspected by both teams before the match. An arbiter will huddle in the hole during the match to make sure signals aren’t being transmitted via patterns of flatulence or loaf squeezing.
It is the only way.
Topalov believes it (cheating) happened, but doesn’t have sufficient proof. Kramnik should sue him.
Why such a big deal about what Topalov said?
Look how I see this:
He has the right to think whatever he wants and I have my choice to ignore him.
>>Topalov is out of line with his accusations for which there is no proof.
The proof is ample and obvious. The problem is that so many people prefer to ignore it and talk trash here and on other fora.
Direct proof:
1. Official protocol, stating that inernet (UTP-5) cables were found under the ceiling tiles of Kramnik’s toilet, signed by the match director, the chief arbiter, 2 members of the delegation (Makropoulos and Bovaev) and Topalov’s manager.
2. Photoraph of the cables, published in non-tabloid newspapers (Trud, Marca and possibly others).
3. Videotapes showing Kramnik visited toilet before each move and closed the door.
4. Guilty reaction of Kramnik and his manager which did everything to stop showing those tapes to journalists.
Indirect proof:
1. Analysis showing that Kramnik’s moves corresponded to Fritz when he visited toilet, and were different from Fritz when he didn’t.
The fact that ChessBase and Russian media did everything to suppres this evidence shows how corrupt and biased are chess administrators and media that reports the events. The opinions here show that a great percentage of their readers are biased too.
>> Last time I checked, most residences have cables strung everywhere in the house.
Gregory, do you have an internet link to your toilet?
I got a nice box of Kleenex if you need em Veselin…..really don’t be afraid to ask!
It is really amazing to see how many people support the proven cheating of Kramnik.
At last the truth:
The Russians have perfected photo-resistant, around-the-corner invisible-to-the-human eye transparent fiber optic data cabling over distances up to 20 meters.
Once these hit the market, test-taking will never be the same.
Gaging by this picture of Topalov, he should make a bee line for the nearest clinic. He looks like he just had four or five stiff vodka tonics…
This habit of getting blitzed then spouting off to the media can only do him harm.
Have You ever been in Russia?? Go, find out what is going on there and than You understand what Topalov was afraid. But of course this do not proof that Kramnik was cheating…
>> Gaging by this picture of Topalov, he should make a bee line for the nearest clinic.
Said by yet another fake shrink.
After the cables, it is even better how he justifies losing in the rapid games.
I am tired of these accusations, maybe he should think about the errors we did during the games as a reason for losing the match.
Kramnik cheated?
No, I dont think so. He blundered in both matches, against Topalov and Fritz(checkmate en both cases).
Topalov should learn to “win with grace and LOSE WITH DIGNITY”.
I think in the future all games should be just played with 25 minutes control/40 moves + 10 secs.
The player can not leave the table.
No going to restroom.
You can not wear anything while playing, except glasses. No cellphone, no watch, nothing on your pocket except glasses.
>> You look at that tape and it puts the fear into you. It’s not just how many times he went to the bathroom, but how he went. Many times he came out, came to the board and moved instantly.
Proven by the videotapes. Kramnik and his manager did everything possible not to give this evidence to the media.
>>Topalov should learn to “win with grace and LOSE WITH DIGNITY”.
To be silent after being cheated out of the World Chess Champion title is not a dignity, it’s a cowardice. Topalov speaking out now means that he overcame his fear of the Russian mafia. He’d better hire a bodyguard, because most people know that the next step of those criminals is an assasination attempt against Topalov.
>>Toiletov…I mean Topalov is still crying. Should we call him Cryalov or Cryalot?.
I think he’s just a puppet of Cheatalov… I mean Dainalov. Should we call him Dianalov or Cheatalot?
Post your comments but, keep it clean please.
Cheatnik, Toiletnik, Fritznik, Internetnik, Contractnik, Cowardnik, Profitnik, Complainik.
>> The Kremlin won’t admit that Kramnik cheated
This title is very accurate because the cheating in Elista was organised by the Russian government.
Nobody has yet pointed out the obvious!
The Topalov camp are playing for an invitation to Mexico!
Topalov expects the rematch challenge to be turned down and these accusations are timed to make double sure of this.
In declining to enforce the rematch FIDE will offer Topalov a place in the finals tournament.
Anyone wiloing to bet against this?
>>Anyone wiloing to bet against this?
And who is the other side of the bet? Little Mouse Sings … Tra-la-la
>> Topalov believes it (cheating) happened, but doesn’t have sufficient proof. Kramnik should sue him.
Kramnik will never sue Topalov, because the evidence for cheating is enough for any fair court to ban Kramnik from playing chess forever.
>>One would think that this is a plot out of a bad B class movie out of Hollywood, but it is a shame that it is happening in real life.
It sure is a shame for a pretender for the chess crown to use those KGB methods. Really happening on the stage before audience with Toiletnik consulting his computer before each move.
In the ChessBase:
>> … claiming that everything was orchestrated by the Kremlin and KGB, which also threatened him and his team physically. Read and be amazed.
There is nothing amazing in Topalov’s interview. Most of the things he says were published long before in other media, supported with evidence. Maybe the ChessBase editor wants us to be amazed in his late reaction. Nah, nothing amazing in that either.
I thought Kasparov was the biggest cry baby but it seems Topalov has surpassed him!
you know, when fischer first hurled accusations against the kremlin it was received with similar apathy.. now weve heard how the did conspire to draw against each other.. anyone remember what happened to korchnois son during the match with karpov? the soviets may have changed the packaging, but the product is still the same.. journalists and ex-kgb agents, even kasparov has drawn the ire of the big red machine.. i wouldnt put anything past’em
>> He [Kramnik] alleges health problems
The official diagnosis of Kramnik is polyarthritis. This is inborn back pain. To allege that this condition makes him go to toilet every 5-10 minutes is a gross lie playing on the ignorance of the audience. Even people with renal and bladder conditions do not go so often in the toilet. And Kramniks disease has nothing to do with urination frequency.
i have the prof of kramnik cheating
here is the picture
http://msucares.com/insects/fireants/images/ant4_lg.jpg
this ant… obviously photographed in kramniks and and room, has a elo of 4500 and was trained my the KGB to morse code all the moves to kramnik, that was the way he cheated in the rapids.
poor topalov… the nº1 turned into a crybaby… what a shame
This is so amazing. Even if there is an ounce of truth to this…Kramnik will not lose his title. So, just as we all must deal with loss in life…move on and try again. Or, whine like a baby.
>>Even if there is an ounce of truth to this…Kramnik will not lose his title.
It is really amazing that Kramnik will not lose his title which he stole by cheating.
Topalov won’t admit that he cheated, even though the rules are pretty black and white.
“I believe that [Kramnik’s] play is fair, and my decision to continue the match proves it. We are humans, and sometimes we make mistakes.” — Veselin Topalov, 10-4-2006
So, was Topalov lying when he said this? His violation of Ethics Rules has been so persistent in this case that I think he should get the full three year suspension from rated play, as prescribed by FIDE Ethics Rule 3.2.
I don’t think Topalov is being unrespectful: All he says is true. If anyone wants to check out, he just have to see the videos and verify it.
Kramnik resigned a whole point to have the commitee fired; and consequently, not to take into account Topalov’s query (which was very reasonable, in my opinion, just to have a common rest room: that implies ‘NO ACCUSATION OF CHEATING’, just ensuring the fair play, but Kramnik reacted in a very wrong way)
I am sick and tired of this story. The only way to handle trolls is to ignore them. Topalov is a troll who trolls the news pages. We need to ignore him.
I have resisted supporting a ban on topalov but now I will support such a ban. he has simply gone too far too often. he needs to grow up.
This was a sporting contest between 2 people. It was designed to have a winner and a loser. topalov lost. this is another problem with draws in chess. the players think they should never lose.
Topalov needs more losses so he can get practice learning to live with loss.
here is the title to this thread.
Topalov: The Kremlin won’t admit that Kramnik cheated
Susan a better title would be
Topalov won’t admit that he lost to Kramnik fair and square.
>> Topalov won’t admit that he cheated,
Topalov won’t admit that he cheated because he didn’t cheat. Kramnik cheated.
>> “I believe that [Kramnik’s] play is fair, and my decision to continue the match proves it. We are humans, and sometimes we make mistakes.” — Veselin Topalov, 10-4-2006
ChessBase lie.
Chess is dead…
I admit that it’s easier to call Topo names (and can be fun, too!) and write this off to sour grapes. I want to believe the WCC has integrity and I hate to think that Kramnik would cheat.
BUT, this is a stunning accusation directly from his opponent, and has to be taken seriously. Without a comprehensive investigation not only of the cheating accusation but also the process of resolving it at the time, the title is going to have a cloud hanging over it. Would it be productive to analyze Kramy’s moves w/ a computer and see if it could be determined, based on his style, past playing patterns, or level of play, whether some of his moves would be very unlikely without the aid of a computer? Any computer wizzes out there that can answer this?
>> Chess is dead…
Not yet, but it will be if the Russian mafia takes revenge by killing Topalov.

thx, Mr. Vohaul for this interview … :))P
This is most disturbing, on a couple of counts.
1) Topalov is repeating behavior already denounced by the ACP as disgraceful, without really providing any new information.
2) In this article, Topalov is admitting, in effect, that he himself lied when he said he believed Kramnik’s play was fair. This article claims that he only said that stuff during the match out of fear for his own safety, and a desire for prize money that he thought he’d lose if the match were cancelled. He’s confessing to an improper motivation of his own without really getting anything in exchange for this confession.
3) The biggest bombshell of the article, though it’s downplayed, is Topalov’s accusation against Kirsan himself. Topalov alleges that not only was cheating going on, but that the FIDE President knew all about it and did nothing, because he was just following orders.
Though Topalov doesn’t blame Kirsan personally, this is simply too serious to do nothing about at this point. Remember, that Dr. Ricardo Calvo was declared persona non grata by FIDE for saying far less against FIDE.
Topalov has made some serious charges here, in a very open manner. If his charges are true, Kramnik needs to be stripped of the world title, and Kirsan needs to be stripped of his office. Anything less is unthinkable.
But if his charges are false, or unprovable, he needs to get what Calvo got. He’s moved beyond attacking Kramnik to attacking FIDE itself. Not that I’m opposed to attacking FIDE in principle, but if you make an accusation like this, you’d better be prepared to prove it.
Come on, cut the crap already!
Please ignore these kind of lies! No need to post those, Susan!
Thank you
Topalov is trying to compete with Fischer in the displine called “weird chess conspiracy theories”.
Both were admired, and both became crazy and lost all respect, except from other looneys.
Topalov’s charges are serious, and the evidence supporting those charges is also serious. A court suit before an impartial court will be the best decision for Topalov. It will be bad for chess though courtesy of Kramnik and his mafia friends.
If we speak of overblown ego, Vohaul is the glaring example here. He is lost so much in his narcissism that he interviews himself with nobody asking him to do this and nobody caring for him either.
@last anonym: GREAT
so – i am in good company…
play chess and you’ll never stay alone … ^^
😛
Once upon a time Kramnik indeed was a DEEP GREAT Creative chess player. His illness of the last few years has seen his chess suffer, but ofcourse he has a reputation to maintain. Secondly chess has rapidly moved on and Kramnik is slowly lacking behind, many Kramnik supporters blindly fail to notice this. From a 2700+ point of view Kramnik’s chess has been in slow decline, his blunder rate and consisitency of his play questioned. The reason Kramnik agreed to short draws was kind of masking his illness due to chess falability. Topalov’s claim in Elista is 100% valid, ”A CHESS PLAYER SHOULD NOT BE TAKING REGULAR WALKS IN A SMALL TOILET WITH THE DOORS CLOSED”!!! Kramnik has Powerful Freinds (RUSSIA/GERMANY/CHESSBASE), They protect him.. when will the naive world learn that this World is evil?, full of dubious deeds to protect one’s interest. That is the Bottom line. NOBODY CARES ABOUT YOU THE PUBLIC. Self interest first Do not let Kramnik’s noble front Deceive you? He has devious freinds in Power. Please open your eyes and learn to reason for your self rather than be totally media dependent i.e. chessbase and all those biased forums that don’t see the light.
Kramnik is a farce and you chess public just choose to be blind to see it
>> play chess and you’ll never stay alone …
Nobody here does self-interview so you really are alone in this respect, Vohaul.
”A CHESS PLAYER SHOULD NOT BE TAKING REGULAR WALKS IN A SMALL TOILET WITH THE DOORS CLOSED”!!!
HOW MUCH MORE PRROF DO YOU NAIVE PUBLIC WANT?? Kramnik is a farce, people say they want proof, He claims he was taking walks in the toilet, but the door was closed. I think we have a naive public that enjoy being ‘lied to’. There are so many things that strongly imply Kramnik’s behaviour was suspicious. You Kramnik supporters just choose to have a blind eye, ”equivalent to a Wife who knows her husband is cheating on her but accepts the lies he tells her because she has not caught him on camera and loves him”, yet she has many other signs of evidence. Jeezus Christ … open you eyes. Kramnik has Dubious, Powerful freinds and Russia is desperate to hold their title, they have done so for 70 years (Excluding Fischer) and intend to go on for another Generation, and will do everything in thier Power to do so. PUBLIC PLEASE USE YOUR BRAIN FOR ONCE AND SEE THE LIGHT.
RUSSIA/GERMANY/CHESSBASE
The axis of evil in chess?
Please open your eyes and learn to reason for your self rather than be totally media dependent.
Well, if you try this you can easily fall flat on your face, as it needs a certain amount of intelligence to reason. Unfortunately, everyone thinks he himself has an ample ammount of brains. Nowadays, people even post their “findings” in public forums an thereby openly unveil their complete lack of brains. They are not even embarrassed by making a fool out of themselves. Pitiable people, you and Topalov …
Why do you post here as anonymous, Mr. Danailov?
yeah… and after the russians, there will be armageddon – and He who saves souls and condemnes them by His will, will evidence that “His anger has torn me and hunted me down,” moreover, “He has gnashed at me with His teeth,” and of course: “My adversary glares at me.”
i’m really afraid – ANGST … that’s why they call me “chicken brain” …
but at least – it is a brain at all – small enough, but still going; and it thinks, that there is no need to “light (bring) in” a cheating accusation by an UTP-5 cable (to be plugged to WHAT????) passed behind the ceiling’s carpeting of the toilet of an official building…
come on guys – Topalov should concentrate on chess instead of obscure allegations to Kramnik, the no longer existing KGB and the Kremlin (three “K’s”) – otherwise it could happen to him to be the second rated chess player of the chess great power of iceland… (not a 4 moves mate – but in 10 – with an FORCED starting move … ok – i’m chicken brained – and rh4!! was not that easy to find with 2 min on the clock)
sincerly – yours narcist – Vohaul
At one point Topalov leads by one full point.
It is his own fault to let go that.
And he has his own advantage during the tiebreak, but he can not capitalize on that.
Even if it is true that Kramnik is cheating, you should not let go the other game by a simple blunder.
It seems to me, it is easy to say when I lose, that means the other party is cheating. When I win, ok yes, it is a fair game.
I’m “poor Kramnik’s heater” but I can’t stand Topalov’s Cry-baby’s complaintments too)
Topalov:you missed a simple checkmate in 3.
Topalov: you blundered a lot in other two games of the match.
Topalov: you lost in rapid games tie-break where Kramnik couldn’t cheat
Therefore,you are not better player
than Kramnik-the cheater.
Be a man and take your loss like a man.
Again, just repeating myself:
It is far from beyond reasonable doubt that Kramnik may have cheated However, it is OVER. That is why Topalov’s recent statements bother me, because he must know that there is nothing he or anyone could do about the outcome of that match. Absolutely nothing. Even someone like I, who is not at all defending Kramnik that “no, he didn’t cheat”, can no longer take seriously Topalov’s behavior. No matter what happened, it happened, and now it is the past. The only way Topalov can change that, by changing it in the future by playing convincingly superior chess, which he didn’t so far.
He should appreciate the fact, that the world of chess is now started to pay attention to the potential cheating problem in chess.
Gabor
Topalov is mentally ill and only mentally ill people support him.
There is no point in discussing with all of them.
IG
It is sad to see. Another great chess player (Toplalov) descending into madness. I once had a seemingly reasonably individual argue to me that our moon was an alien spaceship for reasons too ignorant to go into here. He thought he had all the “proof” he needed to settle the case. Topalov’s proof of Kramnik’s cheating is about as strong as the one claiming the moon is a hollow interstellar transport.
Topalov has the talent to regain the title, but nobody is going to want to play him if he continues with this crazy talk. He needs to concentrate on chess so he can go down in history as a repeat champion and not the Captain Ahab of chess.
bobby vs topa for the real world champ!
Gee, who are these losers who confuse an alcohol dependency diagnosis with psychosis (mental illness)?
> Said by yet another fake shrink.
>> Gaging by this picture of Topalov, he should make a bee line for the nearest clinic.
> …who are these losers?
Relax, relax, it is merely Danailov with his usual posturing…what a fool.
Topalov cannot lose with dignity, so he keeps up these accusations about Kramnik..
>> an UTP-5 cable (to be plugged to WHAT????)
To a PDA (Personal Digital Assistant) my dear genius Vohaul.
If everyone here cried for the 5 Bularian nurses who were unjustly accused and sentenced to death today in Lybia, as you now defend the cheater Kramnik, the nurses should have be freed and case forgotten long ago.
>> Gee, who are these losers who confuse an alcohol dependency diagnosis with psychosis (mental illness)?
Said by a pitiful loser and outsider who doesn’t know the well-known fact that Topalov doesn’t drink alcohol.
>>Why do you post here as anonymous, Mr. Danailov?
Because you post here as anonymous, Mr. Cheatnik.
@anonymus 1.32.04 AM
– you caught me fishing. it is clear now: Kramnik smuggled this PDA device (obviously made from synthetic material at all…) through all detectors or was able to hide it in the toilet (most probably in the middle of the night), at a place (maybe in the ceiling) where none of the officials – or even Topalov crew members (of course, all bribed or at least threatened for their lives by Kremlin or Kramnik himself) could find it!
Kramnik simply has to go to the boys room to quickly dismount the carpeting (he is tall, so no problem!), fetch out the PDA from the hidden place – plug in the UTP-5 cable – and voilà – a FSB (fka KGB) friend could transmit him the actual position evaluation of deep fritz (after you @anonymus gave me a reality check, i’m convinced that Kramnik is a chessbase servant, and did receive deep fritz weeks before the official release)- what a pathetic cheater!
– finally Kramnik has nothing more to do than to unplug the PDA, hide the PDA in a safe place, remount the ceiling carpeting and come out to make his move, to make the cheating starts all over again… 18 – 50 times a game – what a physical condition for someone who alleges to be ill… what a scammer…
Vohaul, I don’t know whether you are truly stupid or you try here to appear so.
All those acrobatics with the PDA device were not needed because Kramnik was not checked for a hidden device. Topalov was checked only, and the check was done with a mine detector.
So all your complicated schemes are not necessary. It is much more simple. Kramnik has the PDA device in his pocket. He comes into the toilet, closes the door, takes down a loose WALL tile, connects PDA, waits a little for the server to calculate and send the move, unplugs the PDA, puts the wall tile in place, and hurries back to the chess table to make the move. This is possible even for a small child and maybe even for you if you train hard enough.
“…Kramnik was not checked for a hidden device”
Are you kidding, baby?
IG
>>Are you kidding, baby?
No kidding, mommy.
Kramnik only took the title from a patzer named Kasparov when he was at the height of his chess powers, of course he couldn’t be Topalov without cheating!
ahh – i missed this fact – so – only Topalov was checked for electronic devices and Kramnik marched through without control? unbelievable FIDE ploy!
btw: it makes the behaviour of Kramnik even more pathetic – but it also reflects a bad light on the professionalism of the Topalov team, doesn’t it?
i’m with the blissfully ignorant …
:))P
Just coming back from analysing the game 1 of kramnik-topalov.
Topalov can force draw by repetion moves on move 39th, threatening to take pawn at f2 … why did he not do that ? He was one pawn short at that position, and fritz showing that this is draw position.
I think it is his ambition to win game 1 that makes the downfall.
Yes, that a lot of Kramnik moves resembles my fritz 9, but the same holds true for topalov moves too.
>> btw: it makes the behaviour of Kramnik even more pathetic – but it also reflects a bad light on the professionalism of the Topalov team, doesn’t it?
>>
Yes, it does. There are many failures on the part of contracting for which Danailov is personally responsible.
1. The match had to be in a neutral country.
2. Topalov shouldn’t have given his place in Mexico City to Kramnik
3. It had to be stipulated the players not to be out of camera surveillance during the match.
4. The check for hidden devices should have been made before each game on both.
etc.
Then the scandal may have been prevented.
Hmmm…all this speculation of Kramnik using a PDA is pure nonsense. Look at Kramnik’s performance during the match: It was better when he stayed at the chess board in both the long games and the fast games.
If anything, Kramnik’s frequent bathroom trips annoyed, and then really rattled Topalov. And now, rather than admitting that he choked, Topalov (and Danailov) continue this childish taunting.
Verdict: Suspend Topalov for 1 year from all FIDE competition and issue him a warning: The next time Topalov slanders or libels FIDE and/or FIDE officials it will be 3 years. Or, Topalov forfeits all prize earnings for 3 years.
So..it is Sick-a-lov. How much are you being paid for this nonsense?
>>Why do you post here as anonymous, Mr. Danailov?
>Because you post here as anonymous, Mr. Cheatnik.
Ahhh..Danalove-himself…wrong you are. BTW, I have beaten or tied every grand master I have ever played (14 games). Therefore, I am the only rated player in the world who can make the claim to never having lost to a grand master. And…save your childish name calling for your child: Topalov.
>> Gee, who are these losers who confuse an alcohol dependency diagnosis with psychosis (mental illness)?
> Said by a pitiful loser and outsider who doesn’t know the well-known fact that Topalov doesn’t drink alcohol.
Perhaps Topalov’s and Danailov’s accusations and insults do not violate any FIDE rule.
This then leaves all FIDE event organizers to simply not invite Topalov to any rated event for a period of 3 years: a de facto ban.
