This is a tough one. I’ve tried both the checks, BxN+ and NxP+, and neither one of them leads anywhere.
But with the king trapped in the corner and the queen and bishop bearing down on it and all those knights in the vicinity to work with, there’s gotta be a mate in there somewhere. Ok, back to the chessboard for round 2 on this one…
Aha! I made a mistake in my previous analysis. One of the checks does indeed seem to pay off.
1 BxN+! KxB
2 Nf5+! is probably the winner.
For if 2…PxN, 3 Qh6+ and 4 Rh3, and mate is unstoppable. So…
2 … Kh8 (or Kg8)
3 Qh6 threatening both Qg7++ and Rh3 followed by Qxh7++. I gave up too soon on my first analysis.
I think BxN+ does lead somewhere:
1. BxN+ KxB
2. Nf5+ Kg8 (or h8)
(note: if 2….PxN then Qh6+ follower by Rh3 leads to mate)
3. Qh6
(threatening mate on g7)
3. pxN
4. Rh3 again leading to mate.
I think most of that is accurate.
