There is a new raising star in Khanty Mansiysk?
During the first World Cup in Khanty Mansiysk the young Norwegian player Magnus Carlsen made himself known. He knocked out many favorites of the Cup and was easily qualified to the Candidates Matches. The story repeats in four years. Has anyone heard about the young 16 years old player from the Philippines before the Cup? This young fellow sent home Vassily Ivanchuk and has all the chances to do the same with the last Cup winner Gata Kamsky of the USA . A draw with white in the second game is more than ok for him.
Undoubtedly Gata will do his best to make a balance. It may be well so. He is known as tough player with an ironman character. The most important after all is the FIDE policy to popularize chess which has brought its fruits. Almost each FIDE tournament opens new names of young and talented players who could be among elite soon. FIDE did its work. All depends now on players. Carlsen made a profit. Will So benefit as well?
Six Grandmasters made their life in the second game of Round 3 easier: they won in the first. Nikita Vityugov won with black! The performance of another player Shakhriyar Mamedyarov of Azerbaijan could be still called marvelous: 5 victories in 5 games. The result is good even for the winner of the European Team Championship. Judit Polgar made some mistakes in her opening and lost without any fight to Elo favorite of the tournament Boris Gelfand. But we know Judit: the Israeli player will not have an easy day tomorrow!

Yeah, she dit it!
Go, Judit go !!!
The writer is so clueless and has no grasp of Wesley So’s talent and strength.
Wesley So graciously gave the draw to Gata Kamsky, the former World Cup champion.
Wesley needs to be merciless and crush his opposition, like Manny Pacquiao, to be no. 1.
Great Job by So! Susan i see lil sister got some sharp teeth! hehe. Wow, magnus dominated naka in those games, i guess working with garry is paying off! hahaha.
Lionel you dufus, Naka dominated Magnus.
Quit the vodka guy.
Go Wesley and Judith.
Without a doubt, GM Wesley So announced to the chess world that he´s got what it takes to be considered as among the chess elite. Slaying two chess giants in succession is no easy feat, and whether or not he makes it through to the next round, he has already made his presence felt – no longer an ‘unknown’ chess player woefully referred to by one writer a few days ago!
Congratulations GM Wesley!

hahaha Dufus thats a good one thanks! make sure u put the games on Riblika then come back and apologize! hahahaha.
Why does a chess website ask whether anyone has heard of Wesley So? Everyone who plays chess with a modicum of seriousness has known about him for at least a year, if not several more. The writer is indeed clueless.
Yeah, Dufus, you indomitable Lionel, you told the world Magnus dominated me Naka?
You apologize now. And knock off the booze.
Arigato? Si?
Hi. Naka.
