She has a very good shot of winning clear first in this tournment. She seems like a young Judith, very aggresive. She need some work on her positional judgement and her endgame is sometimes questionable. Humpy’s style is much more restrained.
I’m a bit confused in the Fierro-Humpy game. After 36. … Rc8, what’s wrong with 37. Qxf6? Is the move list correct? I followed it on the “replay game here” link. I must be missing something obvious in my rush between classes.

yes, you are right, she also needs to work on her openings. her strength is her middle game.

She is 14-15. I would not worry too much about her opening, she is still experimenting at that stage.
To me most important is tactics and endgame. She has the tactics part down, her ending needs improvement, then comes positional understanding (that will improve with experience) last thing I would improve would be opening.

Yes, I agree with you, but now she plays more and more with 2600+ GM, her Fide next rating will be around 2600 if including this tournment, I think opening is more important if she plays with 2700-+ GM in the coming years.
By the way, her next tournment is the 3rd Ruy Lopez Festival in June.

Thanks for the update

Remember she beat Sasikiran (2711) and Vallejo Pons (2702) in Corus Chess 2009?
I really wish that somebody would stage a tournament among the young phenoms – Caruana, So, Giri, and Hou. That would be a fantastic event.
