Chess Daily News from Susan Polgar
Go Hess and Robson!
Was Robson given the GM title or not. Everything still says he is an IM. I don’t understand the system.
He’s a GM but because of the slow and incompetence of the USCF leadership, FIDE hasn’t made it official. Go USCF! You ruin chess well.
Good point Anon, here we are the strongest chess playing country in the world and the U.S.C.F. got no guts. Susan u seems to know theses people what are they afraid of?
“here we are the strongest chess playing country in the world”
Lionel, I didn’t know you have a sense of humour.
Robson’s now a GM as your latest post now confirms.
I am no fan of USCF leadership. However, this is not their fault. Even though Robson has fulfilled the requirements for GM, FIDE must officially approve Robson’s application at a FIDE Presidential Board meeting.
Approval came today, Jan. 8, 2010. See Susan’s 10:20 a.m. post.
