I am pleased to announce that the Susan Polgar Foundation awarded over $150,000 in scholarships, stipends and chess prizes at the Denker and Polgar tournament this year, sponsored by Texas Tech University, SPICE, SPF, ICM, ICC, American Chess Equipment, House of Staunton, Mr. Jeff Smith, Rochester Chess, US Chess Trust and USCF, etc.

In the past 3-4 years, the Susan Polgar Foundation has awarded over $650,000 in scholarships, stipends and chess prizes to our young players across the country. I would like to thank all the donors and sponsors for making this happen! Without your generous donations and sponsorships, we could not have made things happen for our young players! Thank you! And special thanks to ALL the parents and coaches out there for supporting their youngsters!

When I decided to promote chess in the US back in 2002-2003, people told me that it is impossible to find chess sponsors or get people to care about chess. I think we have proved them wrong. Our events are getting bigger and better each year and more and more parents and sponsors are involved.

I would also like to thank my husband Paul Truong for all the work he has done for chess. He is the engine behind marketing and promoting chess, finding countless sponsors, helping me organize all these events and of course taking tens and thousands of pictures!

Last but not least, in order to support chess for our young players, we rely on generous donations and support from chess enthusiasts and patrons. There are many levels of sponsorships. If you would like to donate to the Susan Polgar Foundation, please click here. If you would like to be a sponsor for one of our future events, please contact me here. Thank you!

See you all next year if not sooner at the campus of Texas Tech University for the 2008 SP National Invitational!
