All draws today, but the sofia rules made the games fun and interesting anyway.
I just saw the last half hour of the games live.
All three games just finished in draws.
Adams sac’d the exchange for a draw in an endgame position with a pawn up as black, although his position wasn’t easy and he was in deep time trouble.
What is Mamedyarov doing?
He had a perfectly good chance to exchange knights on g4 and give white TRIPLED backwards pawns but declined to do so. Then he played Kg7 instead of Ke7 on move 40 which gave white the draw. Has he been replaced by a robot?
Nisipeanu-Kamsky was a hard fought draw with 2R+2P vs 2R+2P and draw by perpetual check.
