Michigan chess player represents USA in international tourney for blind.

Karl Martin Adam is currently playing in the 2009 Junior World Championship for Visually Impaired in Stockholm, Sweden.

The tournament has seven rounds to be played according to the Swiss system. Time control: 30 moves in 90 minutes per player with additionally 60 minutes each for the rest of the game.

Karl Martin Adam is from Ortonville Michigan is 18 years old and is a member of the 4-H Knights Chess Club.

Karl lost his first match (black) against a player from Serbia (rating 1744), won his second match (white) against a player from India (rating 1600) and won his third match (black) against a player from Iran (rating 1800).

Currently he is playing his fourth match (white) against a player from Poland (rating 2017).
