Chess Daily News from Susan Polgar
Carlsen will break 2900 soon.
2900 i a bit optimistic, don’t you think? I’m sure he could beat Kasparovs 2850, but he will have to become even more dominant than he already is to continue upward towards 2900.
Carlsen will fall down very soon
Kasparov 2853 from the past = 2882 from today.Still way to go.Lets wait for a couple of years.
Kasparov was never 2853.
Yeah but Kasparovs rating has nothing to do with the “new chess” theses rating are based on the old stuff. Susan do you know i still havent seen that movie called the blindside? Shes my favorite female actor i cant think of her name, Susan i must be getting old!!!

Thank you for your very insightful comment. Always nice to see jealousy exposed in its purest form
These instant live FIDE ratings mean nothing. Look at the Carlsen – Caruana game, rightfully Carlsen should have lost that game, but because he won it he gets all the rating points. Also Kramnik had lucky games against Smeets and van Wely.
There needs to be some algorithm that can determine how a player is actually playing during a game. If Kramnik is playing like a 2400 patzer in a game with Smeets but lucks in to a win, Kramnik ought to be rated at 2400. Then, when he plays Anand the next day he will get crushed like a bug because that is how he is playing.
In the extreme example, what if Ivanchuk had something wrong with his head. He is rated at 2750, but then goes on to try to castle with his Queen. It would take months to a year before this showed up in the FIDE ratings. Clearly, everyone watching knows that Ivanchuk is not playing like a 2700 player, but FIDE. So he gets an invite to Linares…
Does anyone comment here anymore who doesn’t have a serious mental condition, Susan?
Topalov highest rating was 2813: List # 2009070101
