Thank you, Susan, for the frequent posting of these puzzles. While some of them go beyond my evolving abilities, I am finding that I can “see” the correct line more and more often. This one I saw almost immediately: 1…Rh1+; 2.Kxh1, Rc1+; 3. Kh2, Bxg3+; 4. Kh3, Rh1#
By the way, I quite enjoyed the 3 games presented by you in lecture form on the latest DVD. Very well done! I appreciate the fact that there were few long variations and your commmentary was about ideas and logic rather than sequences of moves.

anonymous: 1…Bxg3+; 2. Nxg3

1. … Rxh1+
2. Kxh1 Rc1+
3. Kh2 (both white rooks are useless) hxg3+
4. Kh3 Rh1#

hxg3+ Nxg3 Rh8#
This was a game Fische played against Bisguier at the US Championship in 1965. Yes, Fischer had the great pleasure of playing 1…Rh1+, which forced Bisguier to resign the game. In this champioship, Fischer drew his 1st round game and won the next 10 in a row!!! His opponents included Larry Evans, Pal Benko, Arthur Bisguier, Robert Byrne, and Samuel Reshevsky, all of whom he defeated…
