Chess Daily News from Susan Polgar
India rules. They’re the smartest. Just look at Anand.
I think highlight of the final results is about Indians. Both the champions are Indian and also the vice champions. With Anand the current champion and having real chances of defending it and also Humpy having real chances ( she is rating favorite) of becoming women’s world champion, it will be indeed very good for chess in India. But even now I think one should think of Indian school of chess!
Anand is certain a super talent and world champ. But saying Indian winning the junior chamionship and girls championship is proof that Indian schools are super is hardly justified. Non of the top juniors in the world are playing. Players like Magnus, Karjakin and Wang Hao would make this tournment impossible for the current leaders to win. Hou Yifan would destroy the girl’s competion if she was playing instead tied for third in the junior tournment.
