The Principal, Vice Principal, Chess Head Coach and Music Teacher of the Hudson Elementary School in Brownsville, TX gave an impromptu concert to the students and me. We all loved it! Teachers and students were dancing in the aisles to the tunes.
Remember, Chess and Music are the only two activities that connect the right brain and the left brain.
The bottom right picture is the Mayor of Brownsville. He came to the school to congratulate the children. The superintendant and representative from University of Texas in Brownsville also attended the event.

Facinating topic! I didn’t know music was involved with the left brain that much. Good thing my daughters main hobby is violin.
I guess chess involves the right brain when strategy is involved, but I thought chess was mostly left brain tactics.
This is definetly a topic I need to investigate sometime in the future (for the benefit of my daughter’s future).
Maybe strategy is in my daughter’s future? I’m certainly looking to learn some myself from SOMEWHERE! But then again she’d enjoy chess more if she won occasionally and that means TACTICS.
