Chess Daily News from Susan Polgar
This is a fantastic event. The publicity is great. The fighting spirit is high. The organization is 1st class. So whatever happen to the Argentinian event? MIA?
Just look how this event is organized. Look at how many sponsors they got. Look at how many dignitaries and media people showed up. Look at what they’ve done in Lubbock in just a few months.
Let’s compare what they’ve done with the bozos from the USCF. And now we know why this federation has been in deep doodoo for decades. Guys like Goich and his gang must be politely shown the exit for chess in the U.S. to grow.
For the men you can simply insist on a white button up shirt with a proper tie as outlined in the book. You could get some ties and have them available in case they show up with gaudy ties. No colored shirts. They do not need a suit but they do need a proper shirt and a proper tie.
Good Luck on this. It really is asking very little.
Google Maps says I’m only 314 miles from Lubbock! Invite me for next year’s event. Please!
GM Jesse Kraai
I hope Jesse Kraai gets to play next year. That would be cool.
Good luck Jesse. Hope you are invited. I will watch all your games.
