When I see kids play chess I feel two things.
1. I wish I started playing as a child.
2. Since I didn’t, its time to study harder to make up for lost time. I’m not going to let starting later hold me back. Class D here I come!

what is the best age to study chess?
i ‘ve heard that children can not distinguish diagonals befor 6
is it true?
I know the child since he is my son. He can certainly recognize diagonals.
He knew how to move all pieces before 4.

I teach my children how to play chess at the age of 4. (So far, I have taught 3 out of 5.) Children are VERY capable…it only requires time and patience. However, they grow to “appreciate” the beauty of the game at different ages. I was approx. 4 years old when my dear Mother taught me. What a gift she blessed me with! I would encourage every parent to do the same 🙂
