Black is clearly better because Black is up 2 pawns.
White has a lot of firepower and the Black pieces are poorly placed for defense.
1.Ra8+ Kc7 (1…Ke7 2.c7) 2.Kc5 idea 3.Nb5# and 3.Nd6#
Susan,
The colors on this board hurt my eyes…
and the tricky puzzles hurt my brain
I agree, this is the worst board color scheme I have ever seeen. Hurts my head to look at it.
Ra8+ Kc7 Kc5 and mate next move
or Ra8+ Ke7 c7 g2 c8Q g1Q Qf8+ and mate soon.
Why does Susan never provide the solutions to the puzzles?
She just told you in the forum: answer is already contributed or to be discovered.
1.Ra8+ Ke7
(1…Kc7 2.Kc5 any 3.Ne6# if not Nb5#)
… and the c-Pawn converts
I have been there, too (and found the solution, too). 🙂
