Wow! It was pretty easy to see what was most likely the first move, but darned hard to see the mate in 7 in the most critical variation.
Tartakower was a great tactician, and I bet he saw it.

The other variations are more mundane, but in each White has a winning advantage:
26. Rc5+ Nxc5?? 27. Qxf4
26. Rc5+ Rc7 27. Rxc7+ Kxc7 28. Rxb7+ Kd6 (28. .. Kc8 29. Rxa7) 29. Rxf7

Lucimarie used to make lucid, accurate comments and used to be almost daily visitor to the blog. Nowadays I have not heard of her. Yancey, do you know the reason ?
I don’t know why she doesn’t comment any longer- she had a keen insight into the toughest of problems, and more than once served as inspiration to me. We have lost some commentators since Susan switched web systems and stopped holding the comments for a day or so before publishing. I know I don’t feel the need to comment unless I have something to add to what is already visible. Perhaps Lucymarie is the same, but I think she had stopped before Susan switched processes.
R-c5ch, Kb8, R(5)-b5, b6, c5
1. Rc5+ Kb8
(1. … Rc7 2. Rxc7+ Kxc7 3. Rxb7+)
2. Rb5 (puts a lot of pressure on b7)
For example, 2. … b6 3. c5!
White’s position has definitely the upper hand here.
Rc4 Kb8
Bb7!!! Rb7
Rb7 Kb7
Rb5 Kc7
Rb7 Kc8
Qc6 Nc7
Ra7 mate in two

3. Rd5+ Ke7/e8
4. Qxf4 Nxf4

6. Rxd8 looks very promising for White. This looks like the only line where I cannot find a clear edge for White. Looks like I am missing something.

I spent a long time trying to find something better than gain of a pawn, but I could not.
1. Rc5+ Kb8 (Rc7 Rxc7+! forces king to c7 and Rxb7+ gains the pawn)
2. Rb5 b6 (Qxg3 fxg3 b6 won’t improve for black)
3. c5!
b pawn is pinned, Rd6 isn’t possible and Qd2 isn’t possible.
E.g. one line that doesn’t help black to save a pawn:
1. Rc5 Kb8
2. Rb5 b6
3. c5 Qxg3
4. fxg3 Nxc5?
5. Rxc5!
