L to R: Dr. Hal Karlsson, Lubbock Commissioner Ysidro Gutierrez, Lubbock Mayor Tom Martin, Jerry Perez
This picture was from the lunch meeting this afternoon in downtown Lubbock, near City Hall. We were discussing various ways how the city can lend additional support for the Susan Polgar National Invitational for Girls, Susan Polgar All-Star Training Camp, SPICE Cup, Texas Women’s Open Championship, SPICE Cup Grand Prix, Lubbock Open, etc.
In addition, we are working together to find ways to bring chess to all the schools in the region as well as getting additional sponsorship from many businesses in town. New hotels and convention center are being constructed right now. Soon, Lubbock can bid for events with 1,500-2,000 players. TTU, SPICE, the SPF, and Lubbock are moving forward to support chess and research, education, outreach, and much more…
Congratulations! I wish the USCF can do 10% of what SPICE does. Go Tech!
Will you go after those who defamed, slandered and libeled you, your family, and TTU, in Dallas?
All board members and the ED have received an official letter from one of my attorneys.
This is what I stated before:
“I have turned over a lot of evidence from the past year to my team of attorneys. They will take appropriate action against any individual who defamed, deliberately lied, or viciously attacked me and my family, especially my children.”
People can spin as they wish. The facts will come out in the proper venue.
Best wishes,
Susan Polgar
Susan, you are the greatest!
Thank you for bring chess to the wild west!
You should consider a chess western for a movie idea!
