What a round.
This early one can already see that So doesn’t have what it takes to reach 2700. His wins against Ivanchuk and Kamsky were flukes. Giri has already surpassed him. Caruana and Giri continue to improve while So has probably reached his peak.
So is still young. Judging what he can or can’t achieve at this stage of his chess career is unfair to him. Even chess geniuses have his own share of ups and downs, including flukes and bad lucks.
