Dear friends and colleagues,

I have finally finished emailing the SPF Chess Training Guide for Teachers (PDF format) to everyone who requested for it. Over 2,150 requests came in from parents, coaches, teachers, club directors, schools, etc., in more than 68 countries.

You should get an email directly from me with the training guide attached. Please let me know if you did not receive it. Please also feel free to let me know your opinion of the training guide as I always try to improve it.

The Training Guide is in PDF format and it is available for FREE to everyone who wants to use it to help children learn chess. I am working now on volume 2 of the Training Guide. It will also be available for FREE when it is ready.

Please remember that the most important thing is to make it FUN for the children. If they fall in love with the game, they will learn a lot better. It is not important how fast they learn. It is most important that they learn properly.

I was lucky enough to have my father teaching me chess when I was 4 years old. Even though he was not a strong player, he was able to make chess so exciting for me to learn and the rest is history.

I have started working on a series of chess workbooks (in both Print and CD format) for children from beginner to 1600. These workbooks will work well with this guide. Please check my blog for future announcements.

Thank you for involving children in chess. They will benefit a great deal throughout their lives because of your efforts. If you still have not received your copy or would like to get a copy of it, please send me an email at PolgarFoundation@aol.com.

Good luck and best wishes,
Susan Polgar
