After a slow start on day one where Carlsen was tied for 8th – 9th out of 10 players, he came back in spectacular fashion by defeating Topalov, Giri, Anand, and Kramnik in the final four games to win Leuven GCT Rapid!

Note in Kramnik vs Carlsen on 46 … Nd5 was not top four moves of the engine but was was Carlsen’s pick. And then Kramnik made the engine’s recommended move, and only then did the engines wake up and catch up to Carlsen’s brilliancy.
