Wesley So fans, DO NOT Celebrate its just 1 game, let him finish the entire tournament match. If he performs well, that’s the time to cheer & lets see what would be his ranking after the tourney. Winning all remaining match can shoot him to # 11. If after the match, he perform poorly except his round 2 victory, then perhaps that’s the time we re-examine if his is improving or regressing. The kid is only 20 years old… but so does other young top guns in the top 20 like Carlsen, Caruana & Giri to name a few. So using an excuse that his young as a result of his poor performance in any tourney is NOT an excuse per se but an alibi, a weak one. The success or failure of a chess player (or any player in any sports) is two-fold, the player and the coach-trainer. If a player is doing great in competitions, it means the player learn something from his/her coach and applied it strictly. If the player performs sub-par or very poor in competitions, the blame falls on the player himself and his/her coach-trainer. Every success of GM Wesley So in any match and/or chess tourney is ATTRIBUTED to his own hardwork & guidance/training provided by his/her coach BUT so does his failure. The NCFP people always pray So will fail and lose match so they can blame him and his coach. GM So fans wants him to WIN most of the time to shut the mouth & constant criticism by NCFP guys under Pichay. This is the dilemma of GM So, he cannot always win in matches and tourney as there are strong players out there BUT he cannot also afford to lose or draw because he is a top 15 player now and any lost or draw affects his standing a lot. All GM So can do is play as hard as he can, take calculated risk, expirement and always push for a win with a draw as last option. He should have the same mentality as those other 20 years old chess top guns line Carlsen, Caruana & Giri to name a few and always play with consistency, accuracy and will to win at all cost. He may lose few match but he can win a lot in the long run. You win some you lose some, just believe in yourself. We are all on you GM Wesley So win or lose but always remember if it is God’s will it will be. So goodluck & may you win all your matches if possible. Thank You & your coach Ms Susan, great tandem keep up the great work.
WESLEY WILL WIN THIS TOURNAMENT HANDS DOWN….
