Serbian Chess Championship – Round Eleven

The 2012 Serbian Chess Championship is taking place from 23rd April to 5th May in Vrnjačka Banja. Fourteen players with average elo of 2534 compete in the round robin tournament.

Ivan Ivanisevic made a huge step towards defending the title by defeating the nearest follower Branko Damljanovic with black pieces. There are two rounds left and Ivan’s lead is extended to point and a half.

In the other games the talented junior Aleksandar Indjic won against the national captain Bosko Abramovic, while Danilo Milanovic scored against the captain of the women’s national team Igor Miladinovic.

Boban Bogosavljevic finally ended the bad streak of three consecutive losses with a draw against Miroslav Markovic.
