Chess Daily News from Susan Polgar
What a great picture. Is that Spassky (fifth from the left)? Look at his tie. 🙂
Yifan Hou’s way to the top is incredible. Okay, her opponents commit many mistakes, but you must take your advantage of it.
I wonder what happens when Kosteniuk and you, dear Susan, will start in the GP series: Will Yifan go on or will you stop her – for the last time maybe.
I like the whole thing.
okay
Is that Karpov in the picture? I notice that his left hand is missing.
Scandalous!
What I like about this blog is the intellectual depth of the contributions.
I have just been reading the FIDE document defining the rules of chess as of November 2008.
The use of underlining in such a document strikes me as totally ‘naff’ (clunky), both in principle and even more so in the case of FIDE’s practice.
When are all these underlines going to be at least corrected if not eradicated?
The FIDE Articles of Chess are increasingly looking like a patched-up text.
The underlined parts are probably just the latest sticking-plaster but I agree – the accuracy of the underlining is poor.
