Anand successfully defended his title by the score of 6.5 – 5.5. Eljanov is leading the FIDE Grand Prix after 5 rounds. The election for the FIDE President post is getting heated. The U.S. Championship just got underway in St. Louis.

Chess Daily News from Susan Polgar
I like Karpov but I don’t think it’s a good idea for him to have an alliance with Kasparov and the USCF. He said he wants to change FIDE for the better but this is not a better team. This will only destroy FIDE.
Susan, you were supposed to provide part 2 summary of W.Ch match by yesterday! I am very disappointed!
So why did you decide to start a blog, anyways?
I’d say that you hit twice with your recent video selections, Susan. This is what I told all my friends on my mailing list when I forwarded the links to them.
Thanks.

Any truth to the rumour that Susan Polgar is not retired and will play competitive chess again?
I was asked to delay publishing part 2 temporarily.
Why did I start a blog? Because there is a demand for updated, timely, fair and objective chess daily news and information from around the globe.
Did I retire? Not yet 🙂 But I would only consider playing in something interesting.
Best wishes,
Susan Polgar
Susan, I think your blog is cool, it’s good to know what’s going on in the chess world and I also enjoyed your WC commentary very much.
I understand the Nf3 king’s gambit is refuted by computer… I this true, or is it a superficial evaluation?
On Karpov, well, I think change is generally good, but can’t say that much.
Does the settlement with USCF prevent “the truth from coming out”?
Susan said several times that the truth would come out.

What settlement? The USCF lost and had to pay her team a lot of money. The truth is those crooks abused their authority and spent nearly $1m of USCF members’ money. The truth is the crooks should be sued by the members.
I note that the sidebar is now gone and older posts are no longer accessable.
Best wishes!
Is there a summary somewhere of what people think is wrong with Fide and what is being proposed to be done differently? Not in vague statements but maybe three concrete examples. This are the three things Fide has done that were wrong and these are the top three prorities.
In which of the decisive Anand/Topalov games did the loser play best?
“Is there a summary somewhere of what people think is wrong with Fide and what is being proposed to be done differently?”
Yes, there is. But its not for public display.
