Following up on the contest. Can’t wait to see the finalists.
“I will post the 5 finalists on this blog for everyone to vote. The deadline for submission is December 31, 2007. The final judging will be during the first week on January 2008.”
The first week is almost over!
The panel is voting for the 5 finalists now. Then I will post those 5 shortly.
Best wishes,
Susan Polgar

I want to discuss rabbits.
I think that’s a special rabbit from western texas.
Why do you think some players progress and some don’t? A few years ago, Kateryna Lahno was supposed to be the next Judit, but for some reason she stopped moving up. Now, Hou Yifan shows great promise. Are there things she can do to avoid stalling the way Lahno has?
How can you stop your fellow board members from wasting USCF money and resources?
Is the rabbit a member of the art panel?
Also, readers want to know if rabbits will be involved in the next USCF board election.
Chess engines’ playing styles
02.01.2008 – What’s a “chessplaying style”? How do the styles of different chess engines differ?

You can’t. 2 out of 5 does not make a majority.
We can only hope the USCF can keep it together until next election.
USCF members need to vote for sane people with good track records of financial success.
The way you stop the entropy is to not renew your USCF membership until the lawsuits are all settled. When you don’t renew your membership send a note saying that you want to support chess and not sponsor a full funding bill for gladiators.
I must say that I’m most disappointed with, Channing, Berry and Bauer who have become cronies of Goichberg. There are many tournaments which don’t get publicized but Goichberg’s events are blasted all over the USCF website. That’s abuse of power. Did Goichberg contribute any money to chess or is he only milking money from USCF members?
Juan
The USCF is a big mess thanks to Goichberg. I won’t renew my membership until he’s gone.
Berry is nothing more than a buddy of Goichberg who will not vote against his friend.
Joel Channing – the man with the midas touch – confessed at the 2007 US Open that he doesn’t know anything about finances.
Randy Bauer who is a flip flopper getting in on the coat tails of Polgar and Truong and can’t answer any questions straight.
Why do girls not win more chess games?
Girls quit chess because of jerks like Sloani, Laffernati, Paini, Niermani. They can’t handle the success of women so they abuse, insult and harrass them.
Who are the members of the ‘art panel’: what are their qualifications as judges of art?
Are they voting for the 5 finalists – which I thought was what we were going to do – or voting to decide who the 5 finalists actually are?
When will we get to vote? I cannot put my life on hold for ever 🙂
Why are there not more Black GM’s
Is this a taboo subject. It is well documented that the black man jumps hire than the asian man. If it is true, Why would it be racist to say that on average the Jewish man is higher rated than a black man?

Probably for the same reason there are no intelligent anonymous posters in this blog.
Silly Git.
The rabbit looks like a jackrabbit (a hare, actually). We have them all over West Texas.
I love how naturally Susan and family have adapted to West Texas. I thought when they came here that they as New Yorkers of such long standing that they would have a hard time fitting in. Shoot, Hungary and Vietnam are just other countries to us; New York is a whole different world. I still haven’t figured out how Hillary Clinton won a Senate seat from New York when we was an Illinois native and had lived in Arkansas or Washington, D.C. for most of the past 30 years.
I just hope they don’t mind that the Democratic Party primary gets a far smaller turnout than do the Republicans!
I need to figure out how to get an identity so I’m not publishing as Anonymous all the time. I’ve got nothing to hide behind.
