Kasparov recently played chess again, chess simul, in the Czech Republic. Kramnik took on Werle and Sebag in a clock simul and showed them his techniques.
Magnus Carlsen is now #5 in the world and Morozevich is #3 with Anand at the #1 position with a 2800+ rating.

Chess Daily News from Susan Polgar
russiachess.org/ is relaying the Russian team championship. I have just seen Bu Xiangzhi with Black wins over Karjakin , in a most exciting Sicilian game. Very impressive feat by the Chinease.
Hey Susan, as a long time New Yorker, do you know who Caitlin O’Halloran of Chessrankings.com is? I’ve never heard of her or her service. Looks interesting for scholastics–maybe. Your thoughts?
I wonder how long it will take before anon of Saturday, April 5, 2008 11:14:00 AM CDT gets modded 🙂
Did we figure out why Judit is not on the Top 100 list, only the Women list??
FIDE fixed it on April 2.

Why would that happen? We have been considering using CXR as a number of scholastic organizations do for our ratings instead of the USCF. I heard about chessrankings.com from a friend and can’t find anyone who has used them or knows about them. If they are competing for business with USCF and CXR, they may have a better deal.
The biggest question is that why Leko is only on the 10th place?
Go Peter!!!!!!
Peter, Peter Pumpkin eater…
Had a high ELO rating but couldn’t keep her…
Mother Goose knows.
Susan,
I simply enjoy the picture of you in the picture.
With you dressed all in white, you look like the White Queen about to capture the Black Queen!
A very appropriate picture!
Cheers!

The post that was modded was an abusive post in the direction of Susan and was full of profanity comments.
Susan,
The USCF members need to be proud of being represented by people who care so much about chess as you and Paul do.
I want to request from you, as my representative at the USCF board, to:
1) Publish on each of your many websites 3 forms that we can print, sign, and mail to a P.O. Box that you’ll get for such effect.
a) A letter of support and vote of confidence for both of you.
b) A letter requesting immediate new elections for all positions at the USCF Board.
c) A letter naming either of you proxy for such election.
2) Take the legal steps necessary to have this new election, and search for candidates that will help promote chess and stop the lousy politics at the USCF.
3) Last but not least. Run for the new board. We need both of you there.
Of course people will be able to sign one, two or all of the letters. And I’m afraid that you will get a lot of hate mail mixed with the letters, but something has to be done to stop this circus and start moving forward.
