He Lionel Davis,
How come your spelling is so damned flawed? You write interesting things but in very bad English. What country are you from?

Well, there is one more thought on the Vienna 2. … Nf6’s 3rd move. I think 3. Bc4 is fundamentally inconsistent when played so early. Of course, Bishop’s opening is a viable opening, but in the Vienna… Sometimes you do play the bishop to c4, but oftentime, especially in transpositions to the KGD, advantage comes from a possible Bb5.
So 3. Bc4 is easily a loss of tempo, due to which move orders become so important later on, not to lose that tempo. In a lot of variations of the Vienna and King’s gambit, losing tempi is one of the worst sins imaginable (often in King’s gambit, at least in my play, you cannot take the time to play Nc3 unless moving the a1 rook is a threat). Pressuring f7 on the other hand is not so relevant, in my opinion, before f4 is played.
So 3. f4 and 3. g3 are the consistent moves in this view, they correspond to plans and threats with flexibility.
