d4 looks like the obvious move.
1. Bf1 Rxf1 2.Bxe3
If the rook could be diverted from protecting the Be3, then black could force white to trade the queen for the king’s bishop.
The way to do this is given by the anonymous commenter at 10:12 AM CDT. After Bf1, mate is threatened by Qg2. I see only two ways to prevent this- Rf1 and Re2. After Re2, Qe2 carries the same threat, and will win yet another piece.
I tthought I were smart when I saw 1. Bf1, but Anon 10:12AM CDT had seen it first 🙂
