Would play Bf6 without even thinking about it. Wins outright:
1. Bf6 ef6
Nothing will hold: [1. …Bg7 2.Be7 Bd4 3.g4! Kg7 4.Bf8 Kf6 5.e7+-]. Continuing:
2. Rf8 and black doesn’t have time to stop the pawn.
1.Bf6 wins.
1. Bf6 looks good
1. Bf6 (..Bg7 , 2.Bxe7)
(..exf6, 2.Rf8 and e7-e8)
1-0
1. Bf6!! ef6 2. Rf8 and the pawn queens…
If there’s a mate in this position, I confess that it escapes me; but 1. Bf6 looks very strong. The variations are too obvious to need pointing out.
Rxf8 wins a piece 1-0.
B f6. Then R x f8 and the e pawn cannot be stopped.
The white king is safe from checks.
So…
1. Bf6! should give white a big advantage.
Bf6!! white win!!!
If it is a problem you have to do something drastic.White is threatening to take B but his own B is a prey. Therefore
1Bf6
Now if 1… exf6 2Rxf8 and e pawn will queen.
1….. Bg7
2 Bxe7 Bd4(threatens 3Rf2#)
3g4 Kg7
{white was threatening 4Bf8+ Bg7 5g5+ winning B}
4Bf8+ Kf6
5e7 and wins.
Bishope from b2 to f6. White wins in every continuation.
Bf6!
1. Bf6 ! is nice….
Bf6

White must first put the bishop somewhere it can never be taken:-)
Forget about Be5 or Bh8, it must be:
1. Bf6! Ra2 (exf6 Rxf8 Ra2 e7 ->Q)
2. Rxf8 Ra7 (exf6 e7 ->Q)
White is allready up with a bishop, but not satisfied:
3. Bg5+ Kh5
4. Rf7!
The mate can’t be avoided, even with one ore two checks from black.
Or:
1. … Bg7
2. Bxe7 Ra2
3. Ba3! Rxa3
4. e7 ->Q
Forget about all the nonsence I wrote in my first post.
But I still think Bf6 is correct first move.
1. Bf6 Bg7
2. Bxe7 Rb2
3. Bg5+ Kh5
4. e7
and black has only delaying checks (king walking against rook) before e pawn queens.
Or
1. … Ra2
2. Bg5+ Kh5
3. Rxf8 Ra3+
and a long battle to follow, but white is up with bishop here.
