Salgado, Bruzon, and Macias perfect in the Iberoamericano de Ajedrez after R2

The Spanish chess talent GM Ivan Salgado and the Cuban 2700 club member GM Lazro Bruzon are with perfect 2,0/2 in their respective groups after R2 of the Iberoamericano de Ajedrez.

GM Salgado defeated his main competition in the group GM Morovic and GM Matamoros to practically secure qualification from Group D. With this Salgado is the only sole leader of a group of the Iberoamericano, continuing his strong performance and keeping his shape from Ciutat de Barcelona

The other groups have shared leaders. GM Bruzon defeated FM Edgardo Almedina and GM Felgaer to lead Group A together with IM Macias, who did not make a mistake against GM Rodriguez and GM Felgaer. With the victories GM Bruzon crossed the 2714 ELO rating, aiming at the top 20 positions in the world.

Group B has GM Gilberto Milos and FM Jorge Ferreira as leaders with 1,5/2. With the same points GM Rafael Leitao and GM Oscar De La Riva are ahead in group C.
