Total prize fund is 5 mln rubles. If two or more players share first place, there will be an additional rapid chess competition.
Where’s Kramnik, Karpov, and Kasparov?
Kramnik is playing a world championship match later this month. Karpov doesn’t play at the highest levels anymore. Kasparov is retired.
Grischuk is not participating; he was officially replaced by K. Sakaev (2640), the 7-th in the High League waiting list.
Good oportunity for Moro to loose a couple of rating points.
