Chess Daily News from Susan Polgar
Anand and Grischuk, Moro and Leko
I think Kramnik will play a good game to try to catch up Anand as soon as possible. Let’s see.
i would let you comment the two games you like more;
Anand-Grischuk
Kramnik-Gelfand
Susan,
Good pick
kramnik-gelfand because vlad will try to win in all possible ways.
anand-grischuk, because anand is the leader and alex the “surprise”.
Anand-Grischuk and
Kramnik-Gelfand.
Although Kramnik appeared
boring in the last game
as black, in this round
he has white and probably
has more ambition to beat
Gelfand.
Definitely the Anand game since he is the leader and the Kramnik game because he will want to get a win and catch up to Anand. At the end of the tournament, the winner will most likely be Anand or Kramnik so their games are slightly more important than the rest of the field.
Anand – Grischuk
Kramnik – Gelfand
This tournament is now virtually a two-horse race between Anand and Kramnik. Therefore their games are much more important than the others.
Also Kramnik doesn’t have very many whites left after today, and today is white against one of the weaker players; it is virtually a must-win game for Kramnik. Therefore I expect him to try very hard to win this.
Thus:
Anand – Grischuk
Kramnik – Gelfand
Anand-Grischuk
Kramnik-Gelfand
Always the leaders! 🙂
Susan: Your commentaries are entertaining and informative. Thanks.
It would also be nice if you can show us the actual moves on the board- that will make it easy to follow. Most of the time, the live game viewer in Mexico is flooded and cannot be opened, so I am looking at your site w/o a board and can only wonder what all that means. With the board, yours will be a one-stop for chess fans. Thanks.
