The most interesting matchup in this round is the battle between Carlsen and Topalov. Both are aggressive players. Topalov has a history of big come backs in the end. Carlsen is fearless and will not back down against anyone, especially right after a loss. A win would be very important to both of them since Anand has been coasting in the last few rounds.

The second most interesting matchup in this round is the clash between Shirov and Aronian. Shirov was at one time in 2nd place at +1. 3 losses in 4 games in Linares puts him in a tie for last place with Leko. But just like Topalov, Shirov will go all out every game. In spite of being in a tie for 2nd place, Aronian has been relatively quiet. But he is within striking distance of Anand.

I think Anand will try to go for the win against Leko with the White pieces but I do not think that he will take big risks, especially when he is leading by a full point. Leko just won a fine game against Carlsen to make his score respectable. But a draw against the World Champion with the Black pieces may not be a disappointment for him either.

Both Ivanchuk and Radjabov are at -1. The problem with Ivanchuk is anything can happen. Which Ivanchuk will show up tomorrow?
