It is now five years after the events of Sept. 11, 2001. What would you like to say about Sept. 11? Do you have any story to share with others?
I personally feel lucky to be alive especially when I had to be in the same area that morning. After that day, I made a promise to myself t0 live my life to the fullest and never stop doing what I love. That is why I have given 150% of myself to chess in the past 5 years.
Chess Daily News from Susan Polgar
Thank you for everything you do for chess.
I am just one of many millions of people who watched television that day. I remember being with family on vacation and feeling numb and exhausted and wondering what was going to happen next in the world. It was so strange to not hear any airplanes flying overhead the next few days.
Today I feel grief for those who have lost friends, coworkers, spouses, sons, daughters, or other loved ones on that tragic day.
Despite or maybe because of all the anger and sadness felt by people over the last five years, I believe the world will get better.
