I’m thinking:
1. h8=N+ Kh5
2. Rh7+ Kg4
3. Ne3#
Not always easy to spot an underpromotion, but this one was easy:
1. h8(N)! Kh5
2. Rh7 Kg4
3. Rh4#
Actually scratch that, I didn’t notice that the white rook on B7 was pinned! 😀
Better is (hopefully):
h8=N+ Kh5
Rh1+ Kg4
Ne3#
The position seems a bit contrived, but still…
1- h8=N+ ; Kh5
2- Rh1+ ; Kg4
3- Rh4 checkmate.
1. h8=N + Kh5
2. Rh1#
Underpromotion results in forced moves all the way:
1. h8(N)+ Kh5
2. Rh1+ Kg1
3. Rh4#
pawn h8 knight check kh5 rh1 mate
pawnh8 knight check king h5either rook can check and king tog4 then deliver mate
h8=N +
1.h8=N+ Kh5 2.Rh1+ Kg4 3.Rh4++
P8=N
P8=N+
Don’t feel bad, Harri, I didn’t notice it either. Just check with the other rook.
