Championnat Invitation du Québec 2009

19-27 juin 2009Le Championnat Invitation du Québec (CIQ) aura une saveur internationale cette année grâce à la participation de joueurs étrangers. Une entente entre l’organisateur du Tournoi international de Montréal 2009 (TIM), M. André Langlois, permettra au CIQ de qualifier les quatre premiers au classement pour le TIM qui aura lieu du 27 août au 7 septembre 2009. L’idée est de relever la compétition du CIQ et permettre aux joueurs québécois de réaliser des normes de MI et de GM.

The Quebec Invitational Championship will take place in Montreal from June 19 to 27 in Auberge Universel, 5000 Sherbrooke street, near metro Viau. The tournament has an international taste this year with the inclusion of 4 GMs from different countries. The competition, a 9 round robin, will served as a qualifier for the Montreal International Chess tournament to be held later in august. The best four will play in the Montreal International. Ten players will try their best to qualify. The best player from Quebec will be crowned Quebec Champion. Games begin at 5:30pm. Time control is 40/90 + 30 min + 30 sec incr.
