Elina Kats, 2005 Polgar Chess Center Rapid Champion. She scored a perfect 5-0 against tough competition. She has been a student of mine since she was around 4-5 years old. She was also the first ever member of the Polgar Chess Center in New York. Today, she is one of the top rated girls in the country. Congrats Elina!
Chess Daily News from Susan Polgar
You look like sisters 🙂
I want to win a trophy really bad. I’ve never won one before. If I won a medal playing chess I’d even wear it in the bathtub like in Napoleon Dynamite. That thing would never come off. I’d have a medal tanline from it.
Off to study so I can win.
Just saw an episode of Mayberry RFD where Opie had the same idea. He didn’t win the race to get the medal however, despite
“expert” training from Barney.
Thought his solution was instead of wearing the medal in the bathtub he would just stop taking baths.
Congrats Elina!!
My daughter was incredibly impressed when I told her you were THE CHAMP and won ALL 5 GAMES.
Great focus.
And she is beautiful too!
